STEAM Seminar Speaker Series
Sylvia Huang, Ph.D.
National Manager, Cybersecurity Analytics
Toyota Motor North America
Dr Huang will introduce students to the evolution of AI and explore how it is reshaping cybersecurity on both sides of the battlefield in the Post-Mythos Era. Students will discover how AI is changing the game for attackers and defenders alike, and come away with a sense of the skills and careers that will shape the future of the field.
About the speaker
Sylvia Huang is the National Manager of Cybersecurity Analytics at Toyota Motor North America, where she oversees the strategy, architecture, engineering, SIEM and technology partnerships for the cybersecurity analytics platforms that help protect TMNA and 70 global Toyota affiliates. She holds a Ph.D. in Integrated Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University, and master’s degrees in Applied Statistics and Industrial Systems Engineering. She began her career in data science and has held leadership roles across healthcare, insurance and financial services before moving into cybersecurity.
She is also a BASIS Plano parent — a mom of three, all of whom attend the school.
Part of the BYO Lunch & Learn STEAM Seminar series that runs for grades 9 and 10 throughout the year.

STEAM activity tickets are booked per child. The General Meeting is free and open to every Booster member.
